Questions

How often does Apple Calendar update the schedule?

Apple Calendar decides when to check subscribed calendars. On a Mac you can choose every 5 minutes; on iPhone it checks regularly on its own. fancal itself updates every few minutes during games.

Can I get alerts before games?

Calendar apps can't receive push notifications from a subscription, but you can turn on an alert for the subscribed calendar in Calendar's settings so every game reminds you before it starts.

Why subscribe instead of importing the schedule?

An imported file is a one-time copy: it never changes when a game moves or ends. A subscription is a link your calendar app checks again and again, so time changes, final scores and new games show up on their own.

Is it free?

Following one team is free. Premium ($5/month or $50/year) adds unlimited teams, whole leagues and live scores during games. Students get their school's calendar, every sport, free.
